Implemented projects

Despite continuing efforts of the international community, and increasingly domestic authorities, the Network’s beneficiaries remain in a particularly vulnerable situation. They continue to face a myriad of problems which will require legal expertise especially given the international community’s phase down in BiH. “Vaša prava BiH” remains the main source of free legal aid for the beneficiaries, and therefore is vital in assisting individuals in the return, relocation and reintegration process, asylum seekers and minorities to exercise their rights in the future.

Given that the services provided by VAŠA PRAVA BiH are provided for the most deprived population segments in BiH who cannot pay for a private lawyer to exercise their rights, the sustainability of the NGO relies on the generous contribution of committed donors enabling professional legal assistance, country-wide outreach, strategic planning and capacity building.

As one of the largest local NGOs in the region, providing free legal aid, VAŠA PRAVA BiH– Legal Aid Network also assumes the responsibility of being a major contributor to the development of a still fragile civil society sector. Therefore, the following donors have recognized and supported VAŠA PRAVA BiH.

Project: Free legal aid to children without parental care (01.04.2005 – 30.09.2005)

UNICEF is the driving force that helps build a world where the rights of every child are realized. We have the global authority to influence decision-makers, and the variety of partners at grassroots level to turn the most innovative ideas into reality. That makes us unique among world organizations, and unique among those working with the young.

We believe that nurturing and caring for children are the cornerstones of human progress. UNICEF was created with this purpose in mind – to work with others to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease and discrimination place in a child’s path. We believe that we can, together, advance the cause of humanity.

UNICEF supported project of providing free legal aid to children and youth without parental care.
