On 1 and 2 December 2010 Association “Vaša prava BiH” and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation organised a seminar entitled ‘Legal Representation of Clients in the Administrative Procedure (Administrative Procedural Law and Administrative Dispute) and Role of Free Legal Aid in the Administrative Law’. The seminar was attended by various legal practitioners from the country and region (attorneys, administrative officials, judges, NGO sector and others).
The lecturers at this seminar were Mr. Ahmet Salčin from Association ‘Vaša prava BiH’ with the report ‘Court practice in the administrative dispute cases in the disputes over full jurisdiction’, Mr. Davor Bunoza from Association “Vaša prava BiH” with the report “Legal aid for clients in the administrative procedure involving the asylum applications and practice and decision-making by the BiH State Court in the administrative disputes’, Judge Mirjana Mrkaja with the report ‘Administrative dispute and control over legality of the administrative acts – examples from court practice’, as well as the distinguished guest from Germany, Mr. Harold Walther, the Judge of the Administrative Court Darmstadt, who spoke of the administrative court practices in Germany, particularly the experiences of the Administrative Court Darmstadt.
At the two-day seminar, the participants exchanged the experiences in practical application of the administrative procedure provisions and addressed the challenges faced by clients in the procedure. At the same time, panel discussions focused on the judicial decision-making practices in the administrative disputes, positive practices and experiences in the administrative matters.
